I actually wrote about this in my Economics research paper on Tort Reform. Not only is what you stated true, but the fees for malpractice insurance is sooooo expensive for private physicians, that many people are just giving up. Also, patients often sue doctors, a lot of the time for no reason at all. Doctors are people, not Gods. The stress physically, emotionally, and financially is not worth it to many people now a days

Abandoned cat? HELP PLEASE!?

My mother and I had to kick out my father and my half sister a couple months ago. Here's my question. She left her cat here. Now she was a horrible cat owner. She never cared for the cat and was very neglectful. I love the cat and want to keep it desperately. She claims "the cat was her mothers and now it's all she has left of her mother!" That's not true at all but I digress. We have been caring for and feeding the cat for over three months now and she is trying to take it from us... what can I do? Do I have a right to keep the cat? Before she moved in with us she used to do drugs with the cat in her apartment and the vet said this might have led to the cat's possible neurological problem. Friends and Family Getting on My Nerves About The Look of My Child!!!!!!!!!!?

My fiance Dan and I have been together for 4 years and we have a one year old son together :)!!!!!!!!! My fiance is 28 and I am 24 and this is our first child. Well ever since I was about 6 months pregnant with my son people in my family and my friends had/have really gotten on my nerves about the appearance of our son and his personality. I'll start with my family..............mainly it's my mom when I was pregnant my mom would always sit there and tell me 'You know that baby is just as much as yours as it is mine," and that really bothered me when she said that. She would get on my case about everything when I was pregnant about how I ate and what I was buying for the baby and in my opinion and my doctor's I was doing perfectly fine with eating good but my mom didn't think so so she continued to get on my case. If I had one pop during the day she would say " Thats too much sugar and too much salt u can't have that," when she use to eat coney dogs everyday when she was pregnant with me (from what my dad told me). Then after our son (Thadeus) was born I stayed at my parents for a little longer until I got settled into being a new mom. My fiance got 2 weeks off of work to help me and he stayed with us at my parents house. But my mom was alwways ing in, telling us what to do, or telling us were not doing it right basically if we weren't doing what she wanted us to do she would give me a dirty look behind my fiance's back and mouth He's not doing it right. So basically for 2 weeks after my son was born my fiance and mother were ing heads and complainign about eachother to me and what pissed me off is that it wasn't the both of them it was just my mom because my mom basically wasn't letting us take care of our own kid and was making us to do stuff with him that we didn't wanna do. I know I understand people say well it's because she knows how to take care of a kid and is just showing you, no she went beyond that point she didn't show us she tried taking over. Basically she did not like anything or anyway that my fiance took care of our child. Another thing that bothers me is that our son looks like me and my fiance both I mean seriously you can clearly see both of us in him 50/50, but some people don't wanna see it that way. Like my mom, she is alway saying "Oh he looks like his papa oh he looks like his grandma, he looks nothing like Dan (my fiance)," when he doesn't look like my dad at all or my mom he looks clearly like Dan and I both but she always says not really. I mean my parents do a great job being grandparents but it's like "let us do our job as the parents." My mom and I have gotten into a fight once about it and she acted like I was the crazy one lol. But as in my friends, it's one friend....LeAnn. My friend LeAnn is always saying stuff like how my mom is because honestly the older Thadeus gets the more he starts looking like Dan and Thadeus gets his personality from both of us because we are both equally goofy lol. But LeAnn keeps saying "No girl say what u want but he looks like you and is gonna act like u wheter u like it or not he is not like dan." I just don't undertand what is their probelm? Especially with Dan regarding it's only 2 people, but there is no reason either one of them should be like that or say things like that Dan is a good guy hasn't done me wrong or anything like that and we have a pretty good relationship. So please help me figure out what is everyone's probelm lol!

Do you have any suggestions for some laid back or intensive MOSs in the USMC. I have some in mind but its hard to make a decision off one paragraph explaining their duties. ual abuse in the family- difficult situation?

When I was 12 my stepfather started abusing me ually and my mother did not know about it because most of the time she was either drunk or whoring around with other guys. Torn ACL & MCL. Why is my foot numb and swollen?

I tore my ACL and MCL on Thursday skiing. My knee hurts and is swollen. I can't walk on it and I'm in a brace and on crutches. Totally sucks. Anyway, my foot is numb like it's waking up from being asleep and it's pretty swollen. I did not injur my foot. Is this normal for an ACL injury? I'm seeing an orthopedic surgeon this week. But I just wanted some thoughts from anyone that has been through it. I'm also really worried because I have a 18 month old son. It's going to be really hard to take care of him with only one leg. There's this game. I'm pretty sure it was on Cartoonnetwork.com or something like that. There are two islands in the middle of some water. It's you versus some robot guy. You get some set amount of money, you buy weapons to use, and you try to destroy each other. There was dirty laundry, some sort of rotten fish, a shield, a fire extinguisher (sometimes a weapon will light you on fire), a flamethrower, etc. Then, there were the big weapons. They cost a lot of money, but they don't miss and do lots of damage. There was the "Big Bertha", which was a giant missile. There was one where your island levitates over and smacks the other one with a hammer, there was one with a giant robot that walked across the water and pounded the other island, and there were a few more. When you use an item like the dirty laundry, you have to time your shot using a meter (click when the pointer is in the green). That's pretty much all I've got. How did you handle this last year? Just do your best in the play. Don't discuss it at all with your friends - talk about other things. If they bring up their parts praise them by saying you do that part very well. I have had my 3 kids go up for the same parts. At first I was like no - I don't want any of you to try. But that's not right. A person has to learn to handle disappointment to mature. The child that lost got a smaller part and decided for their self that in the end they each got the part they were best suited for. Just don't rub it in. You need to be proud of yourself for getting the part. This type of stuff will happen over and over in life.

Hello, My bf went out of country. Last time he went, on valentine's day, he lied to me that his gramma died, he stayed for a month leaving school, work and me. When he was suppose to come back, he called and said he was stuck in TaiPei because he was carrying something illegal. He didn't call me until he got back a week later. I would go with the kyosho lazer. I have heard alot of good remarks from people at my hobby shop who own them. There are also alot of hop-ups for the lazer. I own a Kyosho, and the cars are very durable and the parts are finished well. if you got the kyosho you might want to up grade its motor, its only a 20 turn, so its not going to go as fast as the losi xxx. Need some help!!!!!..... for the past several months, I have been trying to figure out if I should change career. I am currently an MRI Technologist, considering or thinking switching to nursing. But getting to nursing seems to be a challenge these days. Community college as a waiting list, and private schools are expensive. Today, I just found out I cant even get a federal loan because I have exceeded the loan amount borrowed from previous schooling. Now the private school I was going to take my lvn for now, has advised me to borrow from a private loaner ie: sallie mae, or from a bank. With credit crunch, I know for sure it's difficult to get a loan. The only reason I'm doing this is because of flexibility with schedule, money of course, and potentially move to be an RN. I recently quit my MRI job thinking I can get in, BUT with issue from loans, seems like my facing a big hurdle here. Yes, my photoshop is licensed. All of a sudden, I cant move psd or png files. It gives me trouble - errors when I try to move them to diff. folders or save them to diff. folders. Says file is invalid, or file name is too long.. it will say too long even if it is just 1 character.... but here is the thing.. these files are ALREADY saved with the same file name / extension.. anyone have this same problem? Just started happening a few days ago. I have 4 virus spam scanners and they dont detect anything. I dont get it....

Okay, I hope somebody can help us with this problem.Here is whats going on, back in Jan. of this year me and my mother got into an argument and the next day a worker with DCF was at our door.The DCF knew information about me that only my parents and fiancee know.So I know that is was her the reported us, DCF opened an investigation on us for 60 days and had Youth and Families Alt. come in 2 time a week.One of the YFA workers told us that it was my mom and my sister who reported us, but that they had found no indicators and that our was doing great.After that DCF closed out the investigation and we thought everything was over.Well that was 2 weeks ago and this is now, because she called us in again this past Monday.And again DCF investigated us only long enough to look at some pics on Myspace and to send in to take a monitored urine test and then they closed the case out again.When we asked who called , she of course said that she couldn't tell us who call, but that she could tell us that is was the same person who previously reported us.Then we asked what would happened if they called again and she told that we have to go through this all over again every time that anybody reports us no matter if they do it one time or one hundred times.She said that they turn it over to the state attorney after three times, but that it is up to them to prosecute her or not.We Even called the DCF worker's supervisor and she basically told us the same thing and said that she can confront the person making the reports, but that is all that she can do, but they still have to investigate the report.So we just want to know how we can stop this revolving door of investigations with DCF and/or stop my mother from reporting us every other week.Because we don't think its fair that someone can just keep making false reports and having people sent out to our house going through our house and taking pictures or us our child and our house.Plus sending us in to the courthouse to stand in a room with mirrors with some one standing there watching us urinate.We live in Polk county, FL it that helps with any of the answers.

I'm 14 and my calves are HUGE?

Okay I might be over exaggerating when I say huge, but they are big. Over the past month I've been noticing that my calves are fairly larger than other girls my age. Pregnant and need some advice...?

This is complicated and will be fairly long, so if your not up for reading then don't bother answering....No longer with ex, he's a sbag, broke up in December, haven't talked to him until recently, he called me just a few days ago and must have ESP because I just found out he has gotten me pregnant last week by him, I'm 6 months, haven't been showing, no morning sickness, have been irregular since the beginning, and have bloating and constipation issues that caused me to right off any umptions of pregnancy, plus I've been so busy I haven't had much time to think about it (i had a monthly until March btw) and plus he was suppose to tell me if he believed he had made a mistake or the condom had broken, which he definitely FAILED to do...needless to say since I've told you the big stuff, I am in a state of shock, because I am pro-choice and decided if I were to make a mistake that I would get an abortion as long as I wasn't more than 6 weeks...6 months however is out of the question...whether legal or not for me....now however I am faced with the two decisions I thought I wouldn't have to choose if I were to get pregnant and that is adoption or to keep the baby, since the only options I wanted to consider was either to have the baby and keep it, or not have the baby at all...my family wants me to do adoption, saying it's best for the child, and to only think of the child in this matter. However due to a similar situation being present with one of my bestfriends in highschool where her decision was "influenced" by her family and found a loving family for her little girl. However, afterwards she began to get so depressed that all she could think about was her daughter, and not to go into to much detail I will just say that she has not been right since, for lack of a better word. It seems wrong to me, even though this is a very very unplanned pregnancy, always knowing there is a child out there that belongs to me being raised by someone else makes me sick. Unfortunately, my family is only thinking about the child at this point and not of me, but their probably thinking of themselves more than anything since I am dependent on them as a college student. I don't have a very good relationship with anyone in my family due to many issues throughout my life, and if I am "coerced" into this decision, I believe the anger and sadness of losing something I love already so much for the benefit of others in my family and for myself would probably kill me, literally. I have been for most of my life very alone and emotionally detached from anyone around me, and feel if I have this child and do keep it that it willl fill a whole that has been left inside me for a long time. I've never felt truly loved even though my family probably does love me, I don't feel it from them, but will definitely feel it from something that will love me for me, because I'm her mother, and she will need no other reason to love me. My family has caused me alot of grief and sadness since I was little, and it was a traumatic experience seeing everyone in your family fighting each other while growing up, and no one to turn to. I distrust them, and don't want this decision to be made for me, however my financial position as this time, will offer me no choice...and that is why I need advice

Marcin Gortat and Augustin aren't fully expierenced players in the NBA, but you have to take them anyway. But Dorrell Wright is a good 3-point shooting unit, so yeah bump out Boozer in your lineup, he doesn't fit-in in the lineup, and he won't be such a good player in the Small Forward position. Dorrell Wright is an excellent player from mid-range, so take him. Gortat and Augustin won't help that much, but they will support your team with more Fantasy Points. If I were you, I would accept it because you would receive a very good 3 point shooter and two other decent players. Good luck!

I was stationed in the UK with the Air Force from 03-07 and I remember that during that time violent encounters escalated and teen gangs were becoming a problem. Yet all I remember about the Yobs is that they would get into a beating or maybe a stabbing every once in awhile. Mostly it was hoodies smashing cars.I just watched the film Harry Brown with Michael Caine and noticed that it was true to the mood and tension that existed when I was there. Many blocks were being taken over by gangs of teenagers that ruled through intimidation and mayhem. Yet in this film EVERYBODY was packing! Now I don't remember a gun problem when i was there(guns existed in crime, but not in any significant numbers). It seems though that the film got everything right save this issue. Did things get worse since I was there last?

Bugs, insects, and me (HELP!!)?

I just visited our new home, and it looked like the owner died for a few months and left the backyard untouched for nature to take over. It has a big cherry blossom tree, and some other crappy trees. Why does my body feel hot?!?

I've been working out (weights) this past week, and have been taking my protein shake 2-3 times a day, along with drinking lots of water. ok ppl this is my story my life is one of the most messed up lives ever so im going to start at the beginning i used to live in a trailer and then the trailers furnace broke sending harmfull chemicals into the air because of the kerosene and this was during school and im 17 i was 16 then i moved with my sister and the ppl that she lives with didnt want me there so they kicked me out thne i went back to the kerosene place and had to deal with it i had to go to school smelling like that and everything thne that got fixed and i got a puppy who is the sweetest puppy in the world she is a pit bull and automaticly everyone umes that she is harmfull that is a misconception mean dogs arent born there made and well i got kicked out of there because of her my mom didnt want me to be hurt again haha she didnt want me to get rid of the dog so we moved in with my friends grandparents and they were nice for like a week then freaked out because i met this girl who i am now madly in love with and they complained about me being there to much and not getting out of the house then i did and went to my gfs and spent time with her they got pissed at that and told me to leave but this was after the guy there beat the crap out of my mom i was really pissed off at that but i held my anger in and well they told me to get out and i did i went ot live with my gf and family while my mom lived with someone else so then i lived with my gf for like a week and her mom i realize is a psycho and only cared about money so i didnt have any money and she got pissed and said i had to leave AND OUT OF BEING DESPRATE FOR ME STAYING AND HATRED FOR HER ABUSIVE MOM my gilrfreind said she as going to either run away or kill her self she was using this as a threat she wasnt going to do it she was hurting and her mom freaked out she called the cops and they took my gf i will admit that is the most i have cried in my life they took her to philhaven which is a mental hospital but when she got there they said nothing was wrong with her i rode my bike 40 some miles just to see if she was there she got out two days after that but now im living with my friends grandpa and my mom i have never had anything good except for my gf and now everytime my gf does something bad her mom threatens her with sending her back there and i just think every thing sucks in my life i have never had a good house im 17 i shouldnt have to go through this i lived in an abandoned house my dad tried to kill me ummmm i lived in a tent its horrible i have a horrible life i think thats it oh wait one house dignosed me with mold poisoning and i almost died !! i already died twice when i was born also so thats it

I think that you are suffering from depression personally. It could go either way. I have 4 cats, and one of them is very aggressive. We used Feliaway, and it worked great. We stopped using it, and he is slightly more aggressive now, but not like he was. Are you using the outlet one or the spray? What I have done, is stopped using the outlet ones, and use the spray when I see him acting up again. I just spray it in his 'haunts' and that's it. How does the national guard ROTC SMP work as far as paying for college?

Yes with SMP, no with GRFD. Basically, if you do SMP, you'll go to basic and AIT over the summer, come back to school and continue your education. The Guard will pay for your schooling on top of your pay as a private (or whatever) and some sweet bonuses they doll out (housing/board). During the rest of your time in the Training Corps, you'll go to drill for one weekend a month just like any other guardsman. When you commission, you leave your unit, your Guard contract becomes void, you are igned to a new unit, and sign a whole new contract with Active Army.

Teaching a horse consistency in trot and canter?

I train horses on and off the track. some exercises that i love to use i call rating exercises. You see when you train a horse to run you want them to be harder in the mouth so they don't over react to commands the exercise rider or jockey might give them. So when you soften your hands he thinks "Oh she's letting me go!" and he gets excited. the first thing i always do is change the horses bit. That takes him out of his familiar endowment and sets him in a knew training atmosphere.(I recommend a slow twist snaffle) You can start with taking him at the walk and stopping him, then i always have a horse back at least two steps. do this at the walk and trot until you get an almost immediate response then progress to the canter. it is critical that you get him really thinking and reacting to your hands. eventually when you canter him and he starts to speed up all you really should have to do is raise your hands slightly and he will respond to the pressure and listen to the pace that you ask him for. i would do some leg yield exercises as well. this will make him supple and more responsive.

My grandmother, in her early 70's, can really anger a person during a discussion. All she does is basically repeat the same thing over and over without even touching on your real. For example we were discussing socialism in Eastern Europe. She was talking about how it wasn't true that life was bad under socialism and etc. Then I asked her, well why did you vote for Vaclav Havel ( the anti-communist candidate). She told me that she liked him and that he was a good politician. Talk about contradicting yourself ! If you joined Vaclav Havel's ODS party and said you think life was better under socialism, you'd get KICKED OUT of the party. There are more issues on which my grandmother has contradictory views. Whenever you try to show her how she contradicts herself she just gets all grumpy and doesn't say anything, or she says that she doesn't have time to argue. Seriously, I've seen children that act more maturely during discussions. I find it hard to have any respect for her. I admire people with intellectual finesse and my grandmother is like the polar opposite. She just doesn't show a coherent path of logic in an argument, I don't get the way she thinks. One day she says communism was great and the next day she says the opposite. I don't understand how someone can change their political ideology so quickly within a discussion. Why when you repeat her contradicting sentences back-to-back, she still doesn't understand that she contradicts herself ? How should I explain it to her so that she understands? Like every family member in the 20-40 age range finds her annoying. I'm not sure if this is so much due to her age or her personality. I've met some older people that have great debating skills so I'm not sure old age is the only reason... She can never support her views with any logic or coherent thought. Every time she tries to debate a social/political issue, she just ends up looking like a fool in front of the whole family.
