To be a NURSE or MRI technologist?

Need some help!!!!!..... for the past several months, I have been trying to figure out if I should change career. I am currently an MRI Technologist, considering or thinking switching to nursing. But getting to nursing seems to be a challenge these days. Community college as a waiting list, and private schools are expensive. Today, I just found out I cant even get a federal loan because I have exceeded the loan amount borrowed from previous schooling. Now the private school I was going to take my lvn for now, has advised me to borrow from a private loaner ie: sallie mae, or from a bank. With credit crunch, I know for sure it's difficult to get a loan. The only reason I'm doing this is because of flexibility with schedule, money of course, and potentially move to be an RN. I recently quit my MRI job thinking I can get in, BUT with issue from loans, seems like my facing a big hurdle here. My wife is a lvn right now and if we both make it as a nurse, that would help big time in a long run. SHOULD I CONTINUE AND PURSUE THE NURSING OR STAY AS AN MRI TECH. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
