Didn't the movie "Blow" have almost all the females in an unflattering light?

Though i really like the movie and think it has a good plot as it is a true story as well, I just realized all the women in it except for his first girlfriend Barbara (and daughter of course) are not flattering female characters. Penelope Cruz plays his angry money-grubbing coked up wife but whats funny is though it shows his perspectuive, why wouldnt she be mad at him and disgusted with him? after all he never paid child support, continued to sell coke, etc. and his mother is like this mean cold hearted woman while his father is like this nice gentle forgiving guy. Do you agree? Is it just a reflection of how George Jung saw women in his real life, perhaps just he happened to have bad experiences with them?
