Do you think it is unwise for parents to influence their children into their own religion?

and not allowing them views of others so the child can make his or her own decision on which one the child chooses? i think the parent does this because the parent thinks their religion is correct, but they always fail to see there is no correct religion, many people disagree and say oh, christianity is the right one, or islam, or judaism, but you can CLEARLY see they are violent in some way to other humans. so do you think letting a child choose their own religion is the best since the parents religion might not suit them since the child has different opinions and views about things than the parent.
