What are the Biblical proof texts for the idea that no animals experienced death prior to Adam's sin?

All of the texts traditionally cited appear to be only tangentially related or depend upon a lot of imposed elaborations to make them applicable. Are there any Bible pages which are perhaps more obscure but more specifically address the claim that the earth's biosphere prior to the Fall involved no animal deaths?
