Softball sized cyst on ovary? I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!!?

First, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Cysts are not very easily palpable, so it's very possible that he wouldn't have felt it even during a normal check. Also, cysts can grow amazingly fast so it is also possible that it wasn't there at all during your 6 week post partum check. Cysts are very pliable and soft so we normally do not notice them unless they rupture because that causes irritation around the ovaries and uterus. Ovarian cysts are not uncommon. I had one that was about the size of the one you had, mine was 15 cm across, and it was producing enough hormones to suppress ovulation. I know it's not the same for everyone, but I got pregnant 11 days after my cyst was removed after trying for almost 2 years. In my case, though, the cyst was caused by Clomid. My point is that the cyst could very likely have been suppressing ovulation. If you feel up to it you could try this weekend to BD. Just be gentle. If it hurts you, stop. I am guessing you had laparoscopic surgery to remove the cyst? If so you might feel up to it this weekend. It's a good thing that the cyst is gone now, you'll probably go back to ovulating on a more regular schedule. Good luck to you. Also, please give yourself time to heal emotionally from your first baby's stillbirth. I'm sorry that happened to you and your husband.
